Thank you – A look back at 2011 and looking forward to 2012

December 29, 2011 by

Another year is coming to an end and time to thank God for His blessings and say a big thank you to all of you who donated and prayed for my ministry. 2011 was the biggest donation year by far of beanies, hot wheels and smarties. And that means many more children were given hope all over the world. Around the world children received our gifts of hope through my partners Compassion, I.C.D.I. and Samaritan’s Purse. Right here in my community children received our gifts through my partners Common Ground Free Store, Family Promise, Grace Clinic, Foster Care and Shop with the Sheriff. My friends the Bakers just sent me these picture updates from the Philippines as very poor children there just received Christmas.

Now lets do even more in 2012! I would love to see many of you consider sponsoring a child. For around $35 per month you can provide hope and a chance at life for an orphan or needy child. Just that small amount per month provides food, water, clothing, medical and educational needs. I have 3 – two brothers Paterne & Cedric and a sister Berenice- so I challenge you to consider just adding one child to your family this year. I would ask you look into Vision Trust, Compassion and GBIM/Encompass and tell them Hunter’s Hope sent you. Check for their link on this site. Again thank you for your support in 2011. Let’s make 2012 even greater!

Christmas and a gift that keeps on giving

December 16, 2011 by

Paterne is my oldest sponsored brother in the Central African Republic. He continues to do well after having heart surgery, however he is still having issues with deafness. Thankfully there is a deaf school that Paterne was able to get enrolled in and from the look of that smile he is very thankful for this blessing. What are you thankful for this Christmas? Is it something as simple as being able to go to school? For alot of children around the World the chance to go to school is not a reality, food and clean water is not enjoyed daily and clothing is whatever you can get. Please consider sponsoring a child. Depending on who you choose it is only about $35.00 per month to provide all these things for a needy child. Two of my partners, Vision Trust and Compassion International are both excellent choices. Or please feel free to ask me about it. Make a difference in the life of a child and give them hope for a better future. It is the gift that keeps on giving and it will not only change the life of the child, but also yours.

DELIVERY! Christmas for Needy Children fundraiser check distribution

November 18, 2011 by

Today I was able to deliver the checks from the proceeds of the greeting card fundraiser. Thanks to your support and generosity I was able to issue four checks to help give hope and Christmas to needy children in Delaware County and in the Central African Republic. Integrated Community Development International (I.C.D.I.) will be able to help provide Christmas for orphans in C.A.R. The Delaware County Sheriff’s Shop with the Sheriff program, Common Ground Free Store and Family Promise of Delaware County will all be able to help needy children in Delaware County. Once again thank you for helping give hope to these children.

Giving Thanks

November 17, 2011 by

With Thanksgiving coming up I just wanted to give thanks once again for all the support. I could not do this without the encouragement, prayer and financial support you give through fundraising efforts. Have you ever wondered what my little headquarters looks like? This is one wall in my small basement area where all the sorting and packing happens. Alot of visits to the UPS store have been made in the past week, so many boxes are on there way for deliveries around the world. Again thank you and I hope you will continue to help give hope.

Thank You!

November 9, 2011 by

Thank you to everyone who participated in my annual Christmas for Needy Children fundraiser. It was another successful year and soon I will present checks to my partners to provide Christmas to needy children in Delaware and C.A.R.

I would also like to thank Central Ohio Crime Stoppers for choosing me as their first Youth With A Cause award recipient. It was a real honor to be among other youth doing good things and to stand beside many of Delaware County and Central Ohio’s finest when it comes to law enforcement and news media.

And now to get ready to get all those gifts sent out around the world. It’s almost Christmas!

Christmas for Needy Children Fundraiser

October 17, 2011 by

It is time once again for my annual Christmas for Needy Children fundraiser. This year I am partnering with Cards for a Cause. There are 2 boxes of assorted greeting cards to choose from. Box 1 is all occasion assortment and Box 2 is kids cards. Each box is $30.00 and includes 30 cards, envelopes, and keepsake box. That’s only $1.00 per card and they are really cool cards too. The kids cards also have stickers. Funds raised will help provide Christmas to Delaware County children and orphans in C.A.R. Ends October 31st, so if you are interested please contact me by email for more information and to arrange an order.

Giving Hope at Halloween and Thanksgiving

October 17, 2011 by

I was able to make a stop to one of my partners, Delaware County Foster Care system, and make a delivery of Halloween and Thanksgiving beanies for the kids. Thanks to all who continue to donate those gently used and new beanie babies and new hot wheels and smarties candies. Just a small way to continue giving hope to needy children.

My Brothers and Sister in C.A.R.

September 19, 2011 by

It is hard to believe that it has been 3 years since I visited Bangui, Central African Republic. It is also hard missing my brothers Paterne and Cedric and sister Berenice and all my friends who are like family with ICDI. I have grown and so have they. I am going to school here and helping them to go to school there. I am learning and growing in God here and they are also in C.A.R. I have dreams and so do they and thanks to sponsorship they get a chance like I do here to live out those dreams. Families come in all different sizes, shapes and colors and they are a gift. If you have not thought about sponsorship I hope you will now. For just $35 per month you can feed, clothe, provide medicine and education for a child. Partners like Vision Trust and ICDI provide hope for children, but they need your help. Please pray and consider being a sponsor. And thank you to the Ward family for just sponsoring Flora Jeanne. Flora now has hope for her future.

Another Successful Partnership with Common Ground Free Store

September 2, 2011 by

I just worked with Common Ground Free Store for another project. Back to School and Birthday beanies to underpriveleged children in Delaware County to help them get a great start to school with filled backpacks and a birthday gift to help make their day special.

“Extreme” Thank You!

August 10, 2011 by

I just want to thank everyone who gave to the Extreme Makeover Toy Drive. Many children in this underpriveleged neighborhood will have Christmas this year, wear a smile and have a feeling of hope. But the work isn’t done. There are many more children around the world to give hope so keep those donations coming! We should feel like it is Christmas all year long.
